„THe Discomfort of Evening" in April at the International Theater Festival KONTRAPUNKT in Szczecin

The play "The Discomfort of Evening" directed by Małgorzata Wdowik, will be presented on April 23rd on the Main Stage in the section of the International Competition of Forms at the 57th Edition of the International Theater Festival KONTRAPUNKT organized by the "Pleciuga" Puppet Theater in Szczecin and the Contemporary Theater in Szczecin.

During this year's KONTRAPUNKT, we will see performances representing various theater forms: from puppet theater, through performances in public space, visual arts, to dramatic theater. The festival aims to appreciate diversity while caring to ensure that everyone can find something on stage that moves them – which is why this year's KONTRAPUNKT is launched under the motto "Find your point of view!"

The play "The Discomfort of Evening" will be presented in the section of the International Competition of Forms, to which, with the curatorial support of Agata Kołacz and Henryk Mazurkiewicz, eight performances have been invited (four from Poland and four from abroad). Thematically, they focus on themes of departure, but also on the body and its condition, including corporeality that goes beyond normative standards.
