Setting - the ship Pequod, a refuge for five lost souls, a mysterious soothsayer, and an entire animal imaginarium.

Goal - to hunt the eternally elusive white whale.

The challenge, however, is that Moby Dick, distorted by humanity’s myth-making impulses, has grown into a concept. His body becomes a massive projection screen, displaying our ambitions, fears, and dreams. His coloring signals death or a white flag.

What memories does the water hold?

What stories does the wind carry?

What songs do the sirens sing?

Moby Dick is a wild adaptation of Herman Melville’s classic novel, anchored in the theme of interspecies relationships. At the same time, it offers a space to reflect on the broadly understood human condition and stands as a hymn to life itself.

Formally, the performance draws on the long-standing tradition of pantomime and the unique language of the Wrocław ensemble, juxtaposed with the contemporary language of dramatic theatre, accompanied by live music.

We invite you aboard our ship, where, carried by the waves and to the rhythm of whale sounds, we will eat, sing, and dance together.
