May and June in Mime Theatre

We have the last two months of the 2023/2024 season ahead of us. Here's what's in store for May and June.

We'll kick off May with the premiere of I Love Chopin, a duet by Piaskowski/Sulima. The premiere is scheduled for May 17th at the Feature Film Studio, Wystawowa Street 1. Chopin's music will become a portal to the corners of reality and the fringes of imagination, while also offering solace, comfort, and escape. The performance aims to provoke a conversation about the complex, ambiguous nature and origins of creativity, including that which is considered "national." Will it be a show about Chopin? Find out for yourselves ;)

In June, we invite our youngest viewers and their families to the enchanting performance of Microcosm directed by Konrad Dworakowski. The show will be presented in its summer version in our Garden at Aleja Dębowa 16.

Hans Christian Andersen wrote Thumbelina in search of proof of the child's defenselessness, obedience, and innocence, metaphorically represented by a two-and-a-half-centimeter-tall girl. At the same time, he highlighted the significant impact of the external world on the protagonist's fate. Microcosm is a free interpretation of this popular fairy tale.

Dates: June 1st, 2nd | 11:00 am, and June 23rd on Father's Day at 10:00 am and 5:00 pm

If it's June, our second offering is also summery! On June 14th and 15th in the Garden - the Summer Stage of the WTP, we will present Los Mimos created by the artistic ensemble under the direction of Leszek Bzdyl.

The vegetation of the Wrocław Pantomime Garden and the facade of the WTP building form the natural scenography for Los Mimos. The Garden becomes a space of fulfillment, torment, maturation, and departure for the characters in the performance. The Baron and Baroness's family, their guests, and the staff are entangled in a series of intrigues and ambiguous relationships.
