"Crime and Punishment" at the International Theatre Festival Without Borders

Zbrodnia i kara

"Crime and Punishment" directed by Jakub Skrzywanek, will be presented at the Adam Mickiewicz Theatre during the International Theatre Festival Without Borders.

The International Theatre Festival "Without Borders," organized by the Polish-Czech-Slovak Solidarity Regional Branch in Cieszyn and the "Clovek na hranici" association from Český Těšín, was born at the dawn of the 1990s. During this year's edition, among a dozen performances invited from Poland and the Czech Republic, you can see the co-production with the Polish Theatre in the Underground, Wrocław, and the Grotowski Institute – "Crime and Punishment. Because of the crimes of Russians we cannot understand" on October 5th at 7:00 PM.

"I have never felt such hellish helplessness when writing about theatre. Because of the feeling that while I am sitting on a comfortable chair watching a performance, someone is dying very close by in this war. I admire Jakub Skrzywanek, the director, the Polish Theatre in the Underground, and the Wrocław Pantomime Theatre from the bottom of my heart. Truly! For bravely and carefully, precisely, even if losing their way at times, tackling the most current issues. For challenging themselves and us with the most difficult questions in today's world. Because that is what theatre is for."” - Małgorzata Matuszewska
